How to create a strong brand for your business
How to create a strong Brand for your business?
Creating a brand for your business is not easy. There are many misconceptions about brand creation. The most common one is that a brand is a logo. A logo is a visual element of the brand identity but not the whole brand.
I have been talking about Brand Creation to a few entrepreneurs and business owners lately. It was interesting to talk about how they approached their brand creation for their business.
Developing a strong and unique Brand identity for my business was very important, mainly because I knew the impact a strong brand identity has on a business. However, other elements besides the brand's visual aspect are crucial when building a brand.
When creating a brand for your business, please ask yourself the following questions:
Why am I doing this?
Be honest with yourself when answering that question. Think about you, your business and your essence. Why did you decide to start your business? Why did you choose your offerings? What is your ultimate goal? What do you want to be known for? Answer all these questions to help you define your Mission and Vision statements.
Who is my audience?
When you start your business, targeting a wider audience is tempting. I have done that in the past, and I got lost in it after a while because it's not easy to meet everyone's needs. So it's best to define a niche, find out as much as you can about them, and create some client personas to help you make the right messages to reach and engage with them.
Who are my competitors?
Find out as much as you can about your competitors, what they like, how they market their services, who their clients are, how they position against you in the marketplace, their USPs, and so much more.
What are my USPs?
Define what makes you unique and stands you out from your competitors. Incorporate your USPs into all your marketing content and use them to create your positioning and brand statements.
Communicate your brand message
Now you are in a place to communicate your brand message to your ideal clients. How do you do that? By creating a Marketing Plan that will guide all your marketing efforts to reach and engage with your ideal clients and grow your business.
